Apple today introduced its new iPad Air (5th Gen) at its online event, as expected. It features the same 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display, integrated Touch ID sensor in the top button, but this replaces the A14 Bionic 5nm Chip in the predecessor with the Apple M1 chip, same as the iPad Pro and also adds 5G option, compared to 4G in the predecessor.
It has a 12MP front-facing Ultra Wide camera with Center Stage that automatically pans to keep users in view as they move around. There is a new 12MP rear camera that is used in iPad Pro. It features stereo speakers in landscape mode, USB-C port and Wi-Fi 6 support. It supports Apple Pencil (2nd generation).
The new iPad Air comes in space grey, starlight, pink, purple, and blue colours.
It will be available to order in 29 countries and regions, including India from Friday, March 11th and will roll out starting from March 18th. The release date of Apple iPad Air in Qatar in not available.
