Black Shark 5 Qatar series battery specs confirmed

Black Shark will be announcing the Black Shark 5 series of smartphones on March 30 in China. The Geekbench listings of the Black Shark 5 and Black Shark 5 Pro show that they are powered by the Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipsets, respectively. The company has now confirmed the battery size and fast charging capabilities of the Black Shark 5 series.

As can be seen in the poster, the Black Shark 5 lineup will be packed with a 4,650mAh battery. It appears that the Black Shark 5 and 5 Pro may house the same-sized battery. Both devices are expected to carry support for a 120W fast charging.

The Black Shark 5 series will come equipped with physical shoulder buttons for gaming. The company also revealed that the Black Shark 5 lineup will carry support for a 720Hz touch sampling rate, and it will deliver 15 percent improved touch response speed.

Past reports have claimed that the Black Shark 5 and 5 Pro will house a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel that will offer a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The Black Shark 5 Pro is expected to arrive with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of built-in storage. For photography, it may feature a 108-megapixel triple camera unit and a 13-megapixel front camera.

On the other hand, the Black Shark 5 will also house a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display integrated with a fingerprint scanner. The device will be equipped with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. It may house a 64-megapixel triple camera unit and a 13-megapixel front camera. The rumor mill is yet to spill information on the pricing of both models.
