HUAWEI at its MWC event announced the MateBook X Pro 2022, the company’s latest top-end laptop and the MateBook E 2022 for the global market, after there were introduced in China in December last year. The new MateBook X Pro has a 14.2-inch 3.7K LTPS FullView touch display with a 92.5% screen-to-body ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, Smart Brightness Feature for Dynamic brightness adjustment to ambient light conditions, TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light hardware certification and the 11th gen Intel Core i7 Tiger Lake-U processors with 16GB RAM and 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD.
The new dual Shark Fin fan cooling system, along with the ultra slim VC heat dissipation modules, improves heat dissipation efficiency and double its performance. The smart temperature control system can adjust temperature via real-time feedback, enabling your device to operate more quietly, says HUAWEI.
It has a large trackpad with 100% detection coverage, so you can tap anywhere for a responsive control, supports six easy gestures, including knuckle-tap to take screenshots and swipe to adjust the volume. There is a full-size keyboard with high 1.5-mm key travel, and multi-level keyboard backlighting adjustment. It comes with HUAWEI SOUND 6 Speakers and split-frequency setup, adopts back-to-back speakers for the woofer, and uses HUAWEI SOUND to produce immersive surround sound effects. The quad microphones offer AI Noise Cancellation and 5-metre 360° voice pickup.

The HUAWEI MateBook E 2022 features a 12.6-inch WQXGA OLED screen with wide DCI-P3 colour gamut, 90% screen-to-body ratio, is powered 11th generation Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 processor, uses 4mm shark fin fan, ultra-thin air-cooled VC and High thermal conductivity graphene for 100% coverage.
The 2-in-1 has up to 16GB RAM, up to 512GB PCIe SSD, features a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. It has quad speakers, quad mics with AI noise reduction and a 42Wh battery with 65W charging that can charge up to 54% in 30 minutes and the full charge takes 90 minutes.
It supports M-Pencil (2nd generation) that features a transparent tip design, platinum-coated nib, and rounded hexagonal shape, making it comfortable to hold. This is equipped with 4096 Levels of Pressure Sensitivity and supports tilt writing and has 2ms latency. It can attach to the tablet magnetically to pair and charge wirelessly. When fully charged, it will last for 10 hours.
