OnePlus has already confirmed that its first foldable phone will launch in the second half of 2023, in Qatar and recently rumours said that it will launch in August. Now, a new rumour says that the launch event will is scheduled for August 29th. This is backed by reliable OnePlus leaker Max Jambor.
The leaker recently said that the OnePlus foldable phone will just be called OnePlus Open, which is different from most other foldable phones that have fold in the name.
Based on renders in Qatar, the OnePlus Open is said to come with triple rear cameras, including a periscope camera, Hasselblad tuning, and the flash is present on the left corner, outside the camera cut-out.
The leaked renders show a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded into the power button. Even though the punch-hole camera for the outer display is on the top centre, it is on the left-side for the outer screen, according to the images.
The OnePlus open launch event is said to take place in New York, according to the report. It should also launch in India to compete with the Galaxy Z Fold5, which is all set to launch in Korea later this July.
