After weeks of rumors, OPPO finally showed off its Reno8 series of smartphones in China, as it had announced. The Reno8 has a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset and 80W of charging. The Pro model has Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, and the Pro+ has a Dimensity 8100 Plus.
All three phones have AMOLED screens, 50MP main cameras, and perhaps 4,500 mAh batteries with support for 80W SuperVOOC flash charging. The Pro versions add some cool camera features as well as OPPO’s Mari X Silicon NPU, which first appeared in its flagship smartphone, the OPPO Find X5 Pro.

The device has a 6.43-inch, 90Hz AMOLED display. At the back, there is a triple camera setup with a 50MP main camera, a 2MP black-and-white sensor, and then a 2MP macro camera. The device is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 1300 chipset. The remainder of the specs include a 4,500 mAh battery that can be charged with 80W and perhaps Color OS 12.1, based on Android 12.1, onboard.

OPPO Reno8 Pro in Qatar
Qualcomm’s brand-new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset is in the OPPO Reno8 Pro, which is the first phone to be sold with this chip. The new 7-series SoC is made using a 4nm process, and the Kryo CPU cluster and Adreno 662 GPU can both run at up to 2.4GHz.
Along with the triple camera setup, OPPO is also debuting its MariSilicon X NPU chipset, which was initially used in the Find X5 series. As well as the Mari X Silicon NPU, OPPO is also including its 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, 8MP ultrawide camera, and perhaps even a 2MP macro camera.
The Reno8 Pro has a 6.62-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a 32MP front-facing camera. And a 4,500 mAh battery that can be charged with 80W SuperVOOC are the rest of the specs, along with ColorOS 12.1. The Reno8 Pro is available in blue, black, and gradient colors.

OPPO Reno8 Pro+ in Qatar
The top-tier Reno8 Pro+ model has a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED display with a punch-hole cutout for its 32MP selfie cam autofocus integration, a Pro+ only feature. Another cosmetic distinguishing feature is the thin bezels—the Reno8 Pro+ has 2.37mm top and bottom bezels and 1.4mm side bezels, something that Oppo claims is the slimmest on any of its Reno phones to date.
The Dimensity 8100 Max is equipped with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. OPPO’s in-house MariSolicon X NPU is combined with the 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor on the back. The second rear camera is an 8MP ultrawide, while the third is a 2MP macro shooter.
On the software side, the device is pre-installed with ColorOS 12.1 on top of Android 12.1, and the 4,500 mAh battery supports 80W SuperVOOC charging. The OPPO Reno8 Pro+ is available in grey, black, and green colors.
